CCW Renewal Qualification 8hrs MICHAELS LUNCH

RENEWAL CCW 8 hours w/ LUNCH

NOTE:  This class meets at Michaels Pizza on Carpenter Rd.  There, we will handle the classroom portion of class and enjoy a hot lunch (Pizza, salad and drink), which is included in the tuition.  After you eat, you will drive to our range facility where you will proceed with the range portion of the class, and then qualifications.  Again, the lunch is included in your tuition and Michael's Pizza is only about 15 minutes to the range.

This course is designed to satisfy the requirements for CCW Renewal issuance in California. Our CCW training certificates are accepted in Stanislaus County, San Joaquin, Mariposa County, Merced County, and Tuolumne County.

Please contact your issuing agency before you register with us for qualification.  The issuing agency is under NO obligation to re-issue.

Please remember to look into our other training courses as qualifying once every 2 years (state minimum) is NOT enough to keep you prepared and informed for a lethal encounter. DH1 is 1 day, as is DH2.  A Valley Defense Membership is even better.

Keep in mine that CA requires qualification with every firearm you want on your permit.  In our professional opinion, we strongly suggest only a minimal # of firearms on your permit.  Carry what you are truly proficient with; there's no benefit to having 5 guns on a permit.  We believe in this so strongly, that we charge $10 per qualification of all firearms beyond 3. (Qualification for guns #4 and #5 (if applicable) will cost an additional $10 each on top of class tuition.  The first 3 are included in tuition). * Bring $10-$20 cash if you want to qualify with more that 3 firearms.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE:  THERE IS A QUALIFICATION AFTER A VERY SHORT TRAINING.   IT IS A FORMAL TEST REQUIRED BY THE STATE AND COUNTY/CITY AND WE ARE THE PROCTORS.  WE ARE TESTING BASED ON THE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE GIVEN.   PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE WILL NOT BE DOING ANY TRAINING DURING THE WRITTEN TEST AND NOT DURING QUALIFICATION ON THE RANGE.  The whole point is you shouldnt be practicing to pass a test... You should be practicing to stay alive during the worst moments of your life!  We are right here offering to help, but we can not help you in a test.  Please contact us.... we really want to help you!

We are unable to keep tabs on which counties are issuing CCW Permits and which are not, and the changes in their internal operations re ccw permits (although we do our best). We have limited information on this topic. Please check with your issuing agence (The LE Agency of the county/city in which you currently reside), for the most current information.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

100 rounds of ammunition, plus 30 rounds for every gun you want on your permit.  Remember, per State of CA, you shall qualify with EVERY firearm you want on your permit.

Red Dot Pistol

While red dot optics are not new, their use on pistols for defensive carry is becoming more popular. They do, however, create a learning curve for a shooter transitioning from iron sights.

Red dots have advantages and disadvantages that will be discussed in class. We will cover a wide range of subjects including mounting and zeroing the red dot, making accurate shots using target focus techniques. The most daunting task for the new red dot user is finding the dot.

We will explore dot tracking methods, and target transitions. We will also explore distance shooting with the red dot and the advantages it may provide over iron sights.

Equipment:

-  Red dot equipped pistol
-  Holster/mag pouches/belt
-  Hearing and eye protection/ball cap
-  Range and weather appropriate clothing
-  3 magazines (minimum)
-  200 rounds of ammo (minimum)

Non-Lethal Personal Protection

This course takes place in a classroom setting, and is structured to help you stay out of a bad situation. However, if a bad situation is unavoidable, we will give you some pointers on how to protect yourself WITHOUT using lethal (deadly) force. We will teach you how to use your self (your body, voice, etc), and non-lethal tools (like the civilian model Taser, and pepper spray). We will also discuss the liability you face in using any of those methods.  A great class for men and women, for employers and employees, for high shcool students and college students.  This approach might be what helps you out of a bad situation, when that situation doesn't warrant deadly force (ie: the use of your firearm).

*A canister of pepper spray, and an inert training cansiter are included in your tuition.
*You will not be expected to personally experience the effects of pepper spray at this training.
*Pepper spray will be available for sale after class.

Please remember that in this course we will be having adult conversations.

ATTENTION, GENTLEMEN: I have had a lot of my male firearms training students tell me, "Wow!! That's great! I'm going to send my wife and my daughters to that class!" Thank you for trusting me with your family, really!! That's huge. HOWEVER!! As proficient and confident as I want both men and women to be with a firearm, the actual occasion of you using a firearm for self defense (within the law) is slim to none. Please know your other options. This could be the REAL meaning of "protecting your family"! Please email us if you have any questions... anytime!
